Mining and metallurgical engineer with over 20 years of experience who has held senior roles at Fortuna Mining’s San Jose Mine, First Majestic’s Del Toro Silver Mine, and Americas Gold and Silver’s Cosala Operations, among many other successful silver operations in Mexico. He is highly regarded in the Mexican mining industry, reflecting his extensive development and operational experience as well as essential regulatory contacts throughout the country.


Marcio Fonseca

Over 30 years of experience in mining finance, exploration, project development, and public company management. He holds a Master of Science degree from the University of London and a Diploma from Imperial College (UK)-Royal School of Mines, a Specialization in Economic Engineering from Fundacao Dom Cabral (Brazil), and a BSC degree in geology, from the University of Minas Gerais (Brazil). Track record of successful transactions in multiple jurisdictions while managing natural resource portfolio at Macquarie Bank (former Division Director for Macquarie Bank – Metals and Energy Capital Division), including a key role in the CDN$155M acquisition of Silver Crest by First Majestic Silver Corp.

Mr. Fonseca has a solid technical and operational background acquired through direct exposure to the evaluation, development, financing, and operation of world-class mining projects. Extensive experience in many jurisdictions through all phases of mineral asset development including senior positions with Vale, and Phelps Dodge in Latin America

He is a Member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of the Province of British Columbia, Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo). He is a Member Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (MAusIMM ), and the Society of Economic Geologists (SEG).


Luis Coto

Mr. Coto has over 20 years of extensive experience in district-scale exploration studies, design, management, and execution of multi-million-dollar drilling programs supporting resource expansion. In Mexico, he participated in the discovery of Fortuna Mining’s San Jose Mine, and in Peru, he led the team that defined the world-class Mina Justa copper-gold deposit for Minsur.


Eric Zaunscherb

Mr. Zaunscherb is a Canadian geologist with over thirty-two years, and six cycles, of experience as a mining analyst. He most recently served as Managing Director, Research – Metals & Mining Analyst at Canaccord Genuity where he co-ordinated the firm’s global mining equity research team. He has enjoyed experiencing best practices in Capital Markets at several leading firms, and reviewing and evaluating hundreds of exploration, development, and mining projects globally. He embraces new technologies and industry initiatives in diversity and socially responsible investing, ensuring that local communities receive lasting benefits from mineral resource development.


Robert Payment

Chartered Professional Accountant, CPA, with extensive experience supplying financial reporting and advisory services to multiple companies in the natural resource, technology, and retail sectors. Prior to that, he was a manager/staff accountant with a major, Vancouver-based accounting firm.
